Dwarf Baby Tears was introduced to the hobby back in the 1970s by Tropica. It has become one of the most widespread and popular carpeting plants there are. For a great reason as well. It’s small size and dense, compact growth is fairly unrivaled for nano aquariums.
It is of the more demanding carpeting plants in my opinion. It will grow well without co2, but is very slow and typically prefers lower PH. Moderately demanding about light. Low tech carpets with dwarf baby tears are a bit unfeasible in my opinion, and will take great patience. For low tech tanks, I advise to try pearl weed or Monte Carlo.
